Google Docs

Google Docs is where the words start for most teams. Connect it to import drafts, briefs, and finished documents as sources, and to publish produced documents back as new Docs.

What you get

  • Browse and import your documents. Its items appear as their own tab in ContentCanvas, and importing one turns it into a source split into sections, exactly like an upload.
  • An imported doc keeps its structure: sections you can search, quote, and build a whole campaign from.
  • Publish a produced document back to Google Docs as a new file your team can keep editing. Publishing to it is available only in workspaces where publishing is switched on, and every outbound action still waits on a human approval.

How to connect

  1. Open Integrations on the left rail and switch to the Add apps tab. Connecting apps needs the org admin role; every member can see what is already connected.
  2. Find Google Docs in the catalog and press Connect. A popup asks you to sign in to Google Docs and approve access.
  3. Once approved, the app appears under Connected apps, where you can test the connection, review the tools it exposes, or disconnect it at any time.

Setup after connecting

  • On the Google Docs tab of Integrations you can choose which documents are offered for import and how published documents are created.

How teams use it

The messaging doc marketing already maintains becomes a living source. Produce the one-pager and the launch email from it here, and file the long-form follow-up back into Docs where the writers live.
