Refund Policy

DesignTech AI is paid for with prepaid credit. This policy explains what you are never charged for, when credit is refunded, and how a subscription ends. It is part of the Terms of Use.

Effective Version 2026-09-21.1DesignTech AI, Inc.

The short version

A plain summary to help you read the document. It is not a substitute for it: the full text below is what applies.

  • A run that fails is never charged, so there is nothing to refund.
  • Credit you buy does not expire while your workspace is open, and it is not refunded because you stopped using it, except where the law requires.
  • We refund unspent bought credit if we end the Service for you without cause, if we remove a paid feature in a way that materially reduces the Service, or if we charged you in error.
  • A subscription is cancelled, not refunded. It stops at the end of the month you have paid for.

1. What you are never charged for

Work is charged only when it succeeds. If a run fails, including when a provider errors, times out or returns nothing usable, no credit is taken for it. You do not have to ask.

If a run succeeded but its output is unusable because of a fault in the Service, contact support@designtech.ai with the run concerned. We will look at it and, where the fault was ours, re-run the work or restore the credit it cost.

2. Credit you buy

Credit is sold for use in the Service, not as a deposit, so bought credit is non-refundable once your purchase is complete, except in these cases:

  • We end the Service for you without cause. If we stop providing the Service to you for a reason other than your breach of the Terms (Terms section 15), we refund the credit you bought and have not spent.
  • We remove what you paid for. If we remove a feature you are paying for in a way that materially reduces the Service (Terms section 4), you may close your workspace and we refund the credit you bought and have not spent.
  • We charged you in error. A duplicate charge, or a charge for a purchase or top-up you did not authorize, is refunded in full once we confirm it.
  • The law requires it. Where the law of the place you live gives you a right to cancel a purchase or to a refund, this policy does not take that right away.

Closing your workspace yourself does not by itself entitle you to a refund of unspent credit, and credit is not refunded because it went unused. Promotional credit, including credit given at sign-up, and a subscription's monthly allowance are never refunded or exchanged for money.

3. Subscriptions

A subscription renews each month until you cancel it in Billing. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep the Service and the rest of that month's allowance until the paid month ends. The month you have already paid for is not refunded, and an unused allowance does not carry over. Closing your workspace cancels its subscription immediately rather than at the end of the month, and the rest of that paid month is not refunded.

4. Automatic top-up

If you turn on automatic top-up, each top-up is a purchase of credit under section 2. You can turn it off in Billing at any time, and it stops before the next top-up.

5. How a refund works

Refunds are paid to the original payment method through Stripe, and usually reach you within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.

A refund removes the credit it paid for from your workspace balance. We refund credit that has not been spent; credit already used for work is not refunded. The one exception is a charge we made in error (section 2): it is refunded in full, and all the credit it bought is removed, including any you have already spent. Spent credit removed this way shows as a negative balance, which is taken from credit you add later unless we tell you in writing that we have waived it.

To ask for a refund, write to support@designtech.ai from the email address on the account, naming the workspace and the charge. We answer every request.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank: most problems are resolved faster that way. When a payment is disputed, all the credit it bought is removed from the workspace balance, including any already spent, which leaves the balance below zero, and we may suspend the workspace while the dispute is open.
